Farm Garden Sensory Bin

We planted vegetables and flowers in a garden. This is a great opportunity to learn how to plant seeds, how vegetables grow in soil, how to water them and how they end up at your local grocery stores.

You can sort vegetables in groups by color. Also, you can plant a few real seeds in a pot at home or in your backyard and let your child participate in the entire process.

I will make a separate post about farm animals, but since there are animals in this sensory bin, you can mention them too and talk about why they live on the farm, what they are fed with, where milk and eggs come from etc.

I cut vegetables out of foam sheets and painted them with acrylics. The house is painted on cardboard. The ingredients of this sensory bin are colored rice and black beans.
