Coral Reef Sensory Bin

Coral reef is our next animal habitat. I cut corals out of colored foam sheets and filled the bin with two shades of blue colored rice. I found the idea of painting fish on stones on this website. I took three pebbles and painted yellow, blue and red fish on them. We have played with marine life using water in the bin many times before so this time I decided to stay away from water. I thought my daughter would study corals and seashells closer if she is not distracted by water.

I told her that corals live under water and that most of sea creatures settle around them. We tried to remember all marine animals we knew, and then she just played with rice and fish. She also enjoyed hiding seashells in rice.

  2. Great read about the fish diversity in Placencia Lagoon. For many hobbyists starting a marine aquarium, a common question is what is the best fish for a reef tank? Beginners often ask what is the best fish for a reef tank? when selecting peaceful aquarium fish that coexist with coral reef animals. In my experience with Reef KG resources, understanding reef tank dosing and using a reef tank maintenance app can make caring for common saltwater aquarium fish much easier. Many aquarists still ask what is the best fish for a reef tank? when building a balanced ecosystem. Reef KG shares helpful insights on aquarium fish care, reef tank maintenance app tools, and reef tank dosing strategies for beginners wondering what is the best fish for a reef tank?.
